Pokemon cards can be bought in sealed pokemon cards packs that are also known as booster packs. These come factory sealed from the pokemon company in unique sets, each set has a specific list of cards in it with some common, uncommon and rare cards alongside some very rare cards that are quite hard to pull but are highly sought after.
Things to know about pokemon cards packs, pokemon booster packs:
- They come in various different languages like Japanese, English, Korean.
- Number of cards in each pack varies from set to set and language to language.
- Some sets guarantee a “hit” with is a holofoil card in each pack but some sets don’t.
- English pokemon cards packs have a code card in each pack.
- Many of these pokemon booster packs are sourced from sealed pokemon booster boxes, in many cases buying a box may be more economical.
Japanese Pokemon Booster Packs:
- They are real pokemon cards printed in Japan.
- Often cheaper than English pokemon cards packs.
- Cards have text in Japanese language and they have a different card back than English.
- They often have texture superior to English cards.
- Easier to grade with grading companies like PSA, CGC, BGS as the print and cut quality of cards is better than other languages.
Korean Pokemon Booster Packs:
- They are real pokemon cards printed in Korea.
- Significantly cheaper than Japanese and Engligh packs but slightly lower in quality.
- They have very weak texturing.
- These cards have text written in Korean language.
- Set distribution in Korean is similar to Japanese packs.
